It's over 5 years since I started working for BIC and now they are my largest client. I first did their annual stationery catalogues and this led to a wide variety of further projects, including those from their other divisions: lighters and shavers. All design for BIC encompasses their strong corporate identity and a strict budget! They are flexible, however, allowing adaptations of their identity and they also keep up with the latest trends e.g. this year's annual catalogue was printed on uncoated, recycled paper–a vast change from the glossy catalogues of previous years. I have also designed, coded and uploaded a number of web banners advertising BIC promotions. So my work for BIC encompasses:

posters

• POS
• packaging

• web banners
Sticky Notes Sampler Box:
I have produced about 10 sampler boxes for BIC products in the last year and the one on the right is a favourite. A gate-folded box with tab that releases to reveal a "sticky notes" pad glued to the inside (see below). Each of BIC's samplers is a unique size and design, requiring me to work closely with their printers on devising cutter guides. I then design accordingly, ensuring that no vital images or text are placed at critical folds or cuts.
Stationery Catalogue:
The annual stationery catalogue (above) is a mammoth design project of over 100 pages within 8 tabbed sections, all spiral bound. Almost every page changes annually as new products are introduced, or existing ones are updated and/or reordered. It's usually a 2 month project involving regular liaison with the client and their printer. And it's also usually to a tight deadline.
Exhibition Stand (below):
The exhibition stand below consisted of 3 walls requiring unique product designs on each one, but also continuous corporate identity spanning the full width. White gloss PVC was stretched and stapled to plywood frames lined with foam to achieve a smooth and tight surface onto which my designs were wetmounted. Tables and chairs were constructed from cardboard. The stand construction and printing was done by Arrow Display. They were a pleasure to work with and did a great job.
